I am delighted to inform you that Nursery Hill Primary School has been awarded a ‘Good’ judgement by Ofsted in our latest inspection: 6th and 7th June 2023.
We’re extremely happy that the hard work of our staff has been recognised, and I’m sure you’ll join me in congratulating everyone who works and volunteers at our school.
It was noted that
- all staff and governors care deeply about pupils and that all staff are proud to work at the school. They feel part of a dedicated and cohesive team.
- Leaders and governors had created a strong safeguarding culture across the school. They have ensured there are effective systems for the reporting of any concerns.
We are very pleased that our efforts in raising attainment in phonics and reading has been recognised and that a love of reading is evident across the school. Older children read fluently and enjoy a wide range of books. In the early years, children regularly hear and repeat songs, stories and rhymes. This helps them to develop their speaking and listening skills and enrich their vocabulary.
I am particularly pleased that Ofsted recognised the journey of improvements made at Nursery Hill Primary School over the past 18 months and I would like to thank the parents and carers who have supported the school during this time.
Once again, may I thank all those involved in the inspection itself, especially the staff, governors, local authority and our fantastic pupils who shone during the inspection process and continue to make a positive contribution to our school community.
